The cycle lane bollards are causing confusion among motorists, especially at roundabouts. This is making using the cycle lane more hazardous. May I suggest we adopt a scheme based upon that used in the Netherlands, where they use small concrete dividers to mark out the cycle lane, in place of white lines and the newly added bollards. These low profile dividers give a sense of security to the cyclist, allow cars to move over at any point on the road (to allow for emergency vehicles) and would prevent confusion at roundabouts. I have cycled in Dutch towns and these concrete dividers work very well.
